Getting active with a form of exercise that is enjoyable can really boost mental wellbeing – with the added bonus of being good for your body too!
Getting active doesn’t have to mean spending money on expensive gym memberships. Take the dog (or a good friend!) for a walk, go for a bike ride or visit your local swimming pool. Activmobs – a new way to get fit, the way you want to! Have fun with other people, at a time that suits you doing something you enjoy. No need to go to the gym – and help when you need it! The site will tell you more about finding Activmobs near you – visit the site at http://www.activmob.com/

Exercise Referral Scheme – Your GP or nurse can refer you to this scheme, which is designed to help you make long term changes to your physical activity levels. To find out more call 0800 849 4000.
Health Trainers – Health trainers provide a local confidential service to help you kickstart (and maintain) a healthy lifestyle. For more information on health trainers in your area contact 0800 849 4000 (East Kent) or 01622 723824
Health Walks – Health walks are free, local, short walks (normally around 40-90 minutes) that are led by volunteers. They normally start at local venues such as libraries – call 0800 849 4000
