Kent and Medway Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams
The Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) is a service set up to respond to and support adults who are experiencing a severe mental health problem which could otherwise lead to an inpatient admission to a psychiatric hospital. The main aims of the CRHTT is to help you manage and resolve your crisis through assessment and treatment in your home environment as an alternative to going into hospital. They also support people being discharged from psychiatric hospital, enabling them to continue recovery at home.
The CRHTT will work with the person experiencing issues and also their family and carers to provide intensive support in improving mental health. They also link into other services and can review current medication and help with other relevant social issues.
If you are under the CRHTT, the service is there 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The CRHTT is made up of Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurses, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Support Workers, all of whom work together to resolve the mental health crisis. They also link in with key workers and the local Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and will stay actively involved to help people through the emergency situation until it is resolved and their input is no longer required.
