Cycle to Work Day is a national event held on 3 September 2015. It aims to encourage everyone to take to two wheels and cycle to work for at least one day. You can get involved as an individual or an organisation.
Why not take part in Cycle to Work Day? There are some really great benefits to cycling which include:
- Money Saving: It’s cheaper in the long term to get you’re your bike rather than drive
- It’s Healthy: By cycling we are exercising, exercise can help people avoid heart disease, certain types of cancer, type 2 diabetes and obesity. Cycling and exercise is also good for mental health and wellbeing.
- Cycling is a low impact exercise and it a lot easier going on your ankles, knees and joints.
