May 11 is national Children’s Day and this year’s theme is ‘Go Wild’. National Children’s day is aiming for parents to go into the outdoors with their children for a wild time! It’s a great way of connecting children to nature as well as encouraging them to be more active.
There are lots of things you could do to help children reconnect with nature and it could be a great opportunity to let your kids explore and experiment, be rained on, climb trees, dig holes, jump puddles, catch bug, balance on logs, make dens, play fight, take risks and enjoy the excitement and freedom of being a child!
Getting out and going wild is also a great way to Take Notice and Be Active two of the Six Ways to Wellbeing. While you are out and about going wild while not take a photograph and share it with us on our facebook page as we are getting Wild about Wellbeing, follow the links to find out more.
