If you have problems with reading and writing there are some free courses that can help you. In Kent Skills Plus can help you achieve a national reading or writing qualification and is completely free to anyone over the age of 19. This could mean you could help your children with their homework or improve your job prospects . Skills Plus have centres all over Kent. If you are based in Medway there is also Family Language, Literacy and Numeracy (FLLN) classes, FLLN programmes aims to help parents improve their skills so they can support their children’s education. These courses are also open to carers.
