Stay Healthy as the Temperature Drops Add to Your Support

As the temperatures are dropping its more important than ever for us to ensure we look after ourselves. NHS Choices have lots of handy hints and tips to help you stay safe and warm this winter, all of which can be found by clicking here.

NHS Choices has ideas on How to Keep Warm and Well information and advice, which includes:

  • Drawing your curtains at dusk and keep your doors closed to block out draughts.
  • Having regular hot drinks and eat at least one hot meal a day if possible.
  • Wearing several light layers of warm clothes (rather than one chunky layer).
  • Keeping as active in your home as possible.
  • Wrapping up warm and wear shoes with a good grip if you need to go outside.

and remember if you have a neighbour or friend who is less able to cope with the bad weather - check they are ok and see if they need any help or assistance.
