KMPT want your views on their Communities of Excellence Vision Add to Your Support

KMPT are proposing to bring their services together in three clinical communities in Dartford, Canterbury and Maidstone, these will be known as ‘Communities of Excellence’. They are aiming to provide accessible, responsive care, with compassion, within these communities and will work collaboratively with their partners to reach into the community.

KMPT are aiming to enable service users, their families and carers, to be able to access care closer to home and their buildings will offer a high quality environment which will enhance the therapeutic experience.

Each of these three Communities of Excellence will be underpinned by a “hub and spoke” model of care which will allow them to deliver specialist inpatient care to those service users who need a high intensity of support.

The opportunity to feedback about the Communities of Excellence will close at the end of July 2014. Once they have had a chance to review the feedback, they will publish a response in August 2014.
