Support and help

If you have concerns about your mental health, help and support is available from lots of sources. In this section we have provided some information about what help and support is available for you in the community in Kent and Medway.

Free NHS Talking Therapy of Counselling in Kent and Medway.  There is free NHS counselling available to you in Kent and Medway and you can refer yourself – you don’t even have to go through your GP.  To find out more go to our NHS Talking Therapy page.

Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT). If you are referred into a community mental health team this section explains what to expect from the service as well as listing contact information for all of the Kent and Medway CMHTs. For more information click here.

Advocacy is there to ensure that your views are heard and your rights defended, particularly at a time when you either feel or are unable to speak up for yourself to see this information click here.
